An Elizabethtown chiropractic specialist was arrested Monday early morning and charged with two sex offense felonies involving minors who were clients of his, according to an arrest citation.
Matthew J. Colasanti, 32, is charged with one count of first-degree rape and one count of first-degree sexual abuse of 2 women.
Colasanti runs Colasanti Chiropractic on Ring Road.
On Nov. 25, a juvenile woman relative of Colasanti informed Elizabethtown cops that he offered to give her a back adjustment and while she was lying face down on a table he reportedly began to fondle her and then raped her, according to an arrest citation.
The girl jumped off an assessment table and faced a restroom “until another adult staff member came into the workplace so she could leave,”the citation stated.
According to arrest citations, another reported victim, 16, was touched inappropriately during practically all of her visits while getting her back changed from April of this year through June. She had consultations once a week for 3 months and informed authorities that Colasanti “wouldn't touch her when she was generated the workplace by an adult.”The implicated would rub her buttocks under her clothing during the adjustments for upper pain in the back, the citation stated, as well as touch other locations of her body and after that would make remarks about her. First-degree rape is a Class B felony punishable
by 10 to 20 years in jail, if founded guilty, while first-degree sexual abuse is a Class D felony punishable by one to 5 years in prison, if founded guilty. Colasanti will be arraigned Tuesday early morning in Hardin District Court on
the charges. He is being held in lieu of a$ 25,000 money bond in the Hardin County Detention Center
