Nola B. Garey July 12, 1950 – January 12, 2021 RACINE-Nola( nee: Bernhardt)Garey,70, died on Tuesday, January 12, 2021 at Aurora St. Luke's Hospital in Milwaukee.
She was a lifelong resident of Racine, born upon July 12, 1950, the daughter of the late Leonard and Violet (nee: Boetzel) Bernhardt. Nola was a graduate of Wm. Horlick High School and Racine Technical College, where she got her Associate Degree in Secretarial Science. Her working profession was in law office of Hostak, Henzl and Bichler and Timothy Crawford. Covering thirty-three years, twenty five of those years remained in the lawsuits department.
Nola was a lifetime member of Holy Communion Lutheran Church and the New Hope Bible Study Group. Nola likewise offered in the Food Pantry and at the Lutheran High School Thrift Shop. In addition she was a member of the Lay Ministry Visitation Team and the Alter Guild. She felt lucky to have actually taken a trip extensively, a lot of those journeys snowboarding or vacationing with friends. Nola fondly kept in mind skiing in Kitzbuhl, Austria. She also played softball and enjoyed golf. She liked animals, especially felines, including Cotton, Cody, Bandit and Rebecca. Nola likewise liked to knit, crochet and stitch, and was a devoted reader.
Nola is survived by her previous spouse and long time friend Stephen Garey, cousins and numerous dear pals.
Funeral services will be held at Sturino Funeral Home Sunday, January 17, 2021 at 2 p.m. There will be a visitation at the funeral house on Sunday from 1 p.m. till time of service. Nola will be put to rest beside her parents in St. Paul's Lutheran Cemetery in Wilton, Wisconsin.
